Ted Rogers (1992), is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Margate, England.

With their work always originating from movement - Ted focuses on the deeply emotional aspects of humanity; expulsion, failure, spaciousness, and vulnerability - with an approach that is intuitive and spiritual.

Drawing and painting is an extension of movement - a way of tracing presence, and atmosphere.

Increasing attention is given to destruction and the way things fall apart.

Trained in Musical Theatre - Ted embodies a vast performance history spanning nightlife, fashion, drag, live theatre, film, music videos, gallery work and contemporary dance. From subversive club-life to stadium shows to Disney blockbusters, there are few spaces Ted has not roused with their infectious and unwavering energy.

Since deciding to focus on their own creative output in 2020, Ted has expanded into drawing, painting, film and ceramics.

Their first solo show “Vile Diva" at Lindsey Mendick’s Quench Gallery in 2023 served as a site of experimentation with sculptire and installation and a spring board into the fine-art sphere, landing Ted with a Talk Art interview, a WePresents feature and an invitation to join TKE Studios as their Performance Artist in residence.

Ted choreographed two live performances commissioned by Dame Tracey Emin CBE RA as part of this Fellowship.

Recently Ted has shown as part of “Rock Paper Scissors” at Close Gallery in Somerset with a selection of ceramic “future artefacts” referencing their time in clubland and the “It Girl” era.

Currently Ted has a solo show of paintings titled “Bitumen” installed at local hotspot “Madre Bakery” in Margate.
